Recent Grad​/Alumni - Project Engineer

Recent Grad/Alumni - Project Engineer I at Southland Industries. This role offers an opportunity to start your career path in project management and work on multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, developing skills in estimating, scheduling and design within the design-build construction process.

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders. Ensure they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
• Assist in implementing and distributing safety tailgate meetings.
• Maintain record of signed safety tailgate meeting forms.

• Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings
• Basic verbal and written communications skills
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience
