Job Summary and QualificationsAs an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and take radiographs according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Magnetic Resonance procedures to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
- You will prepare patients for procedures; providing instructions in order to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety
- You will complete required documentation on forms, logs, work station and Meditech
- You will administer contrast using proper technique
- You will produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients
- You will label images and identify according to protocol
- You will communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday,
- One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting
- One year experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care setting - preferred
- Graduate an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Completion of courses in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy
- American Registry of Radiology Technologists certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT (MR))
