Job DescriptionWe are seeking askilled and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures while ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, anda passion for providing high-quality patient experiences.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and vascular interventions
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes, obtaining consent, and ensuring safety and comfort
- Operate imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to capture high-quality images throughout procedures
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition, providing support during and after procedures
- Ensure sterile technique and proper handling of equipment and supplies
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and imaging data
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R); additional certification in Vascular-Interventional (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional (CI) preferred
- Current state license (as required)
- 1–2 years of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or related specialty (preferred)
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of radiology equipment and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
