Position located in Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area.
Position SummaryThe Building Automation Systems Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, configuring and programming software and hardware for DOC Building Automation Systems.
What You’ll Do- Collaborate with the engineering team on the system configuration, network and software requirements, graphics, programming, and sequences of operations.
- Configure the graphics, database, network, and integrations.
- Develops programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for DOC control systems.
- Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation and redlines.
- Record and communicate deviations to the project team.
- Execute system functional testing and commissioning.
- Execute systems upgrades and BAS maintenance on exiting accounts.
- Provide owner trainings required by the project.
- Provide high quality customer service in line with operational processes.
- Capable of pulling wires as needed.
- Niagara N4 certification and experience required
- JCI, Honeywell, and/or Trane controller experience helpful but not required for consideration
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of testing, validation and troubleshooting of large and complex controls systems
- Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and common controls sequences along with fundamental control theory and logic
- Excellent writing and computer skills with proficient knowledge of MSOffice applications
- Ability to maintain diplomacy and professionalism while engaged in high pressure situations
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of building automation and mechanical systems
- Ability to write programming for automation systems
- Understanding of I/T networks and networked systems
- Ability to integrate systems on different platforms
- Effective communicator
- Niagra 4 certification
