Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.

• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.

• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.

• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
Program Details

• All seasonal staff are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Regardless of start date, seasonal program/assignment ends on March 31, 2026.

• Four (4) weekend shifts are required for each 4-week schedule period.

• During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee), if holidays fall during their temporary assignment period.
