Starting hourly rate: $18.50 USD per hour.

Assets Protection teams keep guests, team, and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They mitigate shortage risks, prevent, and resolve theft and fraud to ensure products are available for guests. They build relationships with store leaders and public safety officials.

• Use intelligence‑led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure.
• Experience in crisis response, safety, and crowd management.
• De‑escalation skills and experience with physical security controls and culture.
• Utilize Target's video surveillance system.
• Document cases accurately using case management systems.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests at the front of store.
• Promote a physical security culture throughout the store.
• Respond to and document security incidents promptly.
• Use de‑escalation tactics during incidents.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide apprehension support.
• Prevent theft and shortage by performing receipt checks and monitoring trends.
• Submit documentation in the case management system per policy.
• Operate Target's video surveillance system.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and report hazards.
• Other duties as needed.

• Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members.
• Thrive in a fast‑moving, physically demanding role that requires teamwork, flexibility, and problem‑solving.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state or local licensure/legal requirements.
• Welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use other technology.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Maintain focus and composure in a fast‑paced environment.

• Climb up and down ladders.
• Apprehend subjects per company policy.
• Move merchandise efficiently and safely, up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule; reliable attendance needed.
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environments.
• Remain mobile during shift (shift length may vary).
