This position is responsible for configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining various piping systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of those systems.#

* Position Summary:

** This position is responsible for configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining various piping systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of those systems.
* Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
* Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications.
* Gathers equipment and materials for the job.
* Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.
* Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, orclamps,cutsor bores holes prior to project.
* Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems.
* Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
* Complies with applicable safety and building codes,regulations,and best practices.
* Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
* High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Any vocational training is strongly desired.
* Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
* Must be able tolift upto 15 pounds at times.
* Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.

* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

** Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and in accordance with EPA and OSHA requirements. Perform other duties assigned by management.

** Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. Performs other duties as assigned.
