Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company. This position is responsible for configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining various piping systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of those systems.

• Plan, prepare, install, and maintain piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials, including pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
• Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions and create working procedures based on specifications.
• Gather equipment and materials for the job.
• Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes.
• Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, clamp systems, or by cutting or boring holes prior to the project.
• Install various types of insulation and pipe coverings; safely remove and properly discard old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and EPA and OSHA requirements.
• Inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; report and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
• Comply with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain records, including safety logs and inspection details.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Any vocational training is strongly desired.

• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
