Installation Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Scope of Work:
The Foreman will ensure and accept responsibility for shop space and equipment efficiency, while coordinating the workload of shop and field mechanics in conformance with sales and customer orders for the Construction Machinery Division.
Job Responsibilities:The Foreman is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:
- Assign service jobs and work areas to employees
- Prepare warranty claim repair orders for construction machinery
- Analyze status of work in progress and keep the service manager informed
- Prepare estimates on shop overhauls
- Interview and hire personnel as needed
- Issue required manuals and service bulletins to shop and field mechanics
- Oversee housekeeping and conduct safety meetings
- Promote good welfare among the company and its division
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have 5 years of previous experience
- GED or High School Diploma
- Trade school or special training preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have a working knowledge of the position and how it relates to the overall business and its objectives
- Must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record per WPI insurance company standards
- Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by the Department of Transportation
- Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
- Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend and twist several times a day
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days
- Must be dependable and work independently
- Must maintain good client relations
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Must promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
- Must have the ability to supervise and motivate others
- Must have the ability to effectively evaluate others
- Must protect the company assets and interests
