The mission of a CoMET Field Technician for HVJ Construction Material Department, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to ensure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications, and company guidelines. HVJ also provides additional training for certifications.

• Perform testing and/or inspection as assigned with minimal supervision.
• Document work performed appropriately.
• Support the Project Manager as directed.
• Deliver project outcomes per schedule agreed with the client.
• Perform duties safely, cheerfully, efficiently, and professionally.
• Acquire additional skills/certifications as needed.

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round.
• Occasional travel, shift work, and overnight stays.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean record.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• ACI or Nuclear Gauge certification preferred.
• Ability to acquire related certifications as needed.

NICET, SB101, SB102, PTI Level 1 & 2 are accepted.

• Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and computer use.
• Ability to lift/move samples up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, driving, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
