Machine Operator

Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour

TMD Staffing is hiring SMT Manufacturing Associates for a leading electronics manufacturer in the Rio Grande Valley.

We're looking for candidates with experience in SMT machine operation, electronic assembly, soldering/rework, and quality inspection.

• Operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production equipment.
• Perform electronic rework, touch-up, soldering, and component repairs.
• Inspect and verify electronic assemblies using microscopes, magnifiers, and quality standards.
• Read bills of materials, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Identify and report product defects while maintaining quality documentation.
• Load programs, feeders, and materials for SMT production equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and support production efficiency.
• Follow ISO quality standards, ESD procedures, and company safety policies.
• Assist production and quality teams as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• SMT equipment operation
• Electronic assembly
• Soldering, rework, or touch-up
• Electronic inspection or quality verification
• Ability to read technical documents and assembly drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Experience with soldering equipment, microscopes, measuring devices, or SMT machinery is a plus.
• IPC certification is a plus but not required.
