We are seeking a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented individual to join our optical lab in Phenix City, AL. This role involves creating, assembling, and repairing prescription eyewear based on specifications from eye-care professionals.
Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate prescription lenses by cutting, grinding, and polishing according to provided specifications.
Assemble and fit lenses into frames with accurate alignment.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot optical equipment such as grinders, edgers, and polishers.
Inspect finished eyewear for accuracy and quality.
Perform repairs on eyewear and help maintain lab tools and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools (training provided).
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to follow precise instructions and work accurately.
Basic communication skills for coordinating with team members.
- $13/hour during training; pay increases based on performance after training.
