The C-Store Manager is responsible for day‑to‑day store operations, including scheduling, training, and supervising team members and assistant manager(s).
Responsibilities- Adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Responsible for store profits and controllable expenses, including labor, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop positive individuals to become members of the team, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Schedule and manage labor hours to align with customer traffic patterns and Store Labor Model (SLM) targets.
- Implement and enforce daily operating procedures through the Customer Ready Book to keep the store clean, stocked, organized, and well‑kept.
- Ensure all product orders are placed accurately and on schedule to maintain proper in‑stock levels and meet customer demand.
- Monitor daily retail gasoline competitors, send price surveys, and complete daily paperwork promptly.
- Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive‑off daily.
- Analyze sales reports and KPIs to identify trends.
- Implement monthly promotions and post advertising/signage at the proper time.
- Enforce and report all safety and security issues, including incidents.
- Physical ability to perform all duties of a store C-Store Team Member regularly.
- Understanding of c‑store operations.
- Good leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- C‑Store and/or retail manager experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel up to 10%.
