This position can be located in Harrisburg, PA or in the Greater Philadelphia area. This is an on-site position that requires retail banking experience. Travel throughout the entire Bank footprint is required (PA and NJ). Position may travel 25%- 50% of the time.

Position Overview
The Associate Instructor is responsible for conducting company-wide employee training with a focus on training for the Retail Banking business line. The Associate Instructor will conduct instructor-led training at MPB University and on-the-job training in Financial Centers. The Associate Instructor will assist in maintaining records, working with Subject Matter Experts, and assembling appropriate reference guides, manuals, and other learning materials. The Associate Instructor will help implement strategies to achieve goals developed for the department as part of the Company's annual strategic plan and ensure the department's compliance with operating policies, procedures, and outside regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Delivers Core Retail Banking education courses including but not limited to Financial Center Essentials, Financial Center Operations, and Customer Service.
* Understands foundational principles of in-person/virtual facilitation and classroom management.
* Understands and can advise customers on retail best practices; demonstrates a solid understanding of banking practices.
* Collaborates and partners with Retail and Bank Operations management and staff to ensure Retail Banking programs incorporate accurate and appropriate content including, but not limited to, customer service, operational procedures, product knowledge, and consultative sales/relationship building skills.
* Practices appropriate classroom management techniques; demonstrates appropriate pre-class planning and preparation practices; utilizes post class debrief activities; coaches and delivers feedback to participants; escalates concerns to Senior Instructor, Human Resources, and employee's direct manager, as warranted.
* Utilizes online meeting applications, such as Webex. Uses various other technologies to deliver content, design materials, or complete daily work (including but not limited to Microsoft office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Works with the Director of MPB University regarding content delivery methods and scope of priorities.
* Achieves goals assigned as part of MPB University's responsibilities within the annual strategic plan. Communicates with management and staff personnel to successfully complete the stated goals and activities.
* Delivers engaging messages and/or presentations to a group of people which achieves the class or meeting's objectives.
* Conducts a wide range of training programs to meet the needs of the Company and our employees.
* Monitors policy and procedure changes/updates and makes appropriate updates and changes to Retail programs as needed.
* Updates other training materials such as manuals and handbooks as needed.
* Hosts virtual training sessions; assists with classroom set-up for in-person Instructor-led training.
* Updates Retail training materials to reflect accurate policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements.
* Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs in coordination with managers and supervisors including the impact of training on learners' job performance. Tracks, and reports the information gathered.
* Maintains appropriate and accurate records as well as completes all assigned reports within the specified time frame.
Education & Qualifications
* A B.S. or B.A. degree in Business, Education, or a related field of study preferred.
* Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
* Retail banking experience required.
* Valid Driver's License is required - Travel throughout the entire Bank footprint is required. Position may travel 25%- 50% of the time.
* Regular and predictable attendance is required.
