Position Overview We are seeking an Engineer II to support Navy modernization efforts with expertise in Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems and machinery control systems. This role requires a strong technical foundation in engineering and familiarity with Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques to support modernization and sustainment initiatives across Navy platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Navy modernization projects, focusing on mechanical and electrical HM&E systems and machinery control systems.
* Apply Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques to engineering solutions that enhance performance, readiness, and sustainability.
* Provide technical expertise in system assessments, modernization planning, and lifecycle engineering.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of new technologies and processes.
* Contribute to engineering documentation, modernization plans, and technical reviews.
Required Qualifications
* U.S. Citizenship (mandatory).
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical HM&E systems or machinery control systems.
* Solid understanding of the Navy Modernization process.
* Familiarity with applying Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques in engineering solutions. Preferred Skills
* Prior Navy or DoD program support experience.
* Knowledge of Navy logistics, sustainment, and lifecycle management processes.
* Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM or other AM-related software and tools.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
