Responsibilities Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions' to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire a Submarine Systems Quality Assurance Specialist to provide support to varies Submarine Classes for the US Navy.
The Submarine Systems Quality Assurance Specialist position will manage the reviews of material compliance to specifications and requirements, ensure chemistry and metallurgical properties meet specifications, develop welding processes and analyze the effectiveness, perform non-destructive testing of systems and components, provide inspection services for materials, critical component configurations, certification of special emphasis program work, perform contract oversight and perform quality analysis via multiple documented processes to evaluate the quality of the products we deliver to the Fleet.
The candidate's primary duties and responsibilities include:
* Establish and Conduct Vendor oversight surveillance observations of in-process work and testing and review of final Objective Quality Evidence Data to determine compliance with performance and contract requirements and make recommendations of acceptability to NAVY.
* Perform inspection of manufactured equipment/components for Material identification markings and inventory (kick and count type inspection) and provide reports to NAVY.
* Perform onsite evaluation of vendor's manufacture, assembly, repair and testing processes for contract and specification compliance.
* Provide evaluation, trouble shooting and investigation of Submarine Sail HM&E Systems and Equipment problems/issues and recommend possible solutions to solve problems/issues.
* Review and investigate non-conformances and discrepancies found during disassembly inspections, manufacture, repair/modifications, assembly and testing phases and provide possible corrective and preventative action recommendations to adjudicate.
* Perform surveillance observations/oversight of shipboard and in shop in-process SUBSAFE work/testing.
* Develop and maintain checklist/attribute guides for performing SUBSAFE Functional and In-Process Audits of OII-MSD's quality system and SUBSAFE work/testing.
* Responsible for the review and audit of Re-Entry Control (REC) and Task Group Instructions (TGI) and associated Objective Quality Evidence packages for compliance to SUBSAFE requirements and specifications While this is a hybrid position the candidate needs to be local to the Philadelphia area to come in as needed.
Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering and 5 years work experience OR High School diploma 11+ years related submarine experience
* 5+ years in Submarine Quality Assurance
* 10% travel
* US Citizen with an active secret clearance OR ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to start
* Training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards to understand technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and inspection criteria. #hotjob Desired Qualifications
