A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Operations Program Manager (OPM). Position Type:
Full time Contract, Possible Temp to Direct
Duration: 06-12 Months
Location:
Philadelphia, PA 19116 (Onsite) As an Operations Program Manager (OPM), you will:
• Represent Production Operations as the primary point of contact for program execution, cost, and schedule performance.
• Lead coordination between Operations and PMO, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance.
• Resolve shop floor priority conflicts and ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) for Earned Value Management (EVM), maintaining labor baselines and assessing risks & opportunities.
• Develop and execute manufacturing program plans, staffing strategies, and production schedules.
• Drive problem resolution efforts and lead cross-functional teams to meet program goals.
• Coordinate make/buy decisions and capital expenditure planning to support program needs.
• Support proposal development for new business and scope changes.
• Contribute to site capacity planning and collaborate with Master Scheduling to maintain accurate manufacturing/test schedules.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance cost and schedule performance.
Essential Functions:
• Own technical scope, schedule, and cost for assigned programs.
• Collaborate with IPT Leads and functional managers to ensure successful execution.
• Maintain and update Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) inputs and change management.
• Monitor and resolve issues via Rolling Action Item List (RAIL).
• Support verification and validation of new processes and product improvements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary reviews across development, certification, and production phases.
• Facilitate design for manufacturability, testability, and inspect ability.
• Develop and implement successful metrics and business strategies.
• Coach and manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Experience &
Skills:
• MS in Engineering Management / Industrial Engineering or MBA.
• Proven leadership of multi-functional Integrated Product Teams.
• Experience across all phases of manufacturing and program lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience in shop operations, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Skilled in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and present to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Working Knowledge of GDMT
• General understanding of IPC Standards
