Job Description Summary
The CRCs primary position will be to recruit patients at the University of Pennsylvania for ACCELERATE-PACE, Liv Cog, I-Spot and other supported studies (PI/Serper). These are multi-year, multi-site investigations on various observational and technological interventions for patients with advanced liver disease or recent liver transplant. The coordinator's responsibilities will include maintaining and updating IRB protocols, patient identification through an electronic health record, patient recruitment, ensuring completion of study activities by study subjects, biospecimen collection and processing, completion of case report forms, working with the study sponsors and coordinating site, maintaining a recruitment log and regulatory binder of study documents, and drafting of abstracts and/or manuscripts.
Occasional travel to different Penn Medicine locations (satellite sites) will be required for Liv Cog patient visits.
Candidate will be expected to be phlebotomy trained after hire. Reliable transportation required for travel to satellite sites.

Job Responsibilities
The CRCs primary position will be to recruit patients for a multi-site, 5-year, prospective, observational cohort study at the University of Pennsylvania. The goal of the study is to compare the outcome of liver transplant evaluation among study participants with severe alcoholic liver disease with short-term abstinence vs. those with longer term abstinence. The study recruitment will take place at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine (PSOM).
The coordinator's responsibilities will include maintaining and updating case report forms, patient identification through an electronic health record, patient recruitment, scheduling of study imaging procedures, monitoring patient adherence, collecting physical frailty measures, and survey results, working with the study sponsors and coordinating site, and maintaining a recruitment log and regulatory binder of study documents.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Preferred:
Effective problem-solving capabilities. Effective communication and writing skills.
Ability to multitask. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations.
