Position Summary

Bartender job at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Abroad.

• Provide beverage service in accordance with Company standards while incorporating excellent sales techniques to generate revenue for the Bar Department.
• Supervise the Bar Waiters and other personnel assigned to their particular bar area.
• Maintain inventory levels, cleanliness and organization for assigned bar.
• Assist in achieving departmental guest satisfaction targets for Bar and Lounge Service and Drink Quality.
• Assist in achieving departmental revenue targets for the Bar Department.
• Assist in achieving department cost of sales targets for the Bar Department.
• Ensure back bar set up and beverage displays are according to Company guidelines.
• Ensure company policy regarding drink age is always followed.
• Prepare drinks according to standard recipes.
• Keep work area neat, clean and organized at all times; uphold USPH, SEMS, CPH, UPKH regulations.
• Account for food and beverage sales in the POS terminal.
• Conduct inventory at end of each voyage; account for product overages and shortages.
• Follow Safety and Environmental Protection Policy, SEMS, and appropriate policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
• Omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties logically related to the position.

• Minimum one year of experience as a Bartender for a large cruise ship or high-volume luxury hotel or resort.
• Minimum one year of experience working in a high-volume bar operation.
• Minimum one year of experience with maintaining bar inventories.
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of point of sales systems.
• Intermediate to Advanced ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English; other languages preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced Typing and Computer software
  
  Skills:
  
  Microsoft Word & Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, IBM AS400, Fidelio, Micros.

• High school diploma or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Bartender Certification Program from a recognized educational institution.

• Must have a professional appearance and good hygiene.
