This leader is specifically responsible for developing and maintaining data deliverables and reports supporting our Finance and Operations audit testing for NBCU.

This role will include influencing and collaborating with their peers in the Internal Audit organization as well as with business / technology stakeholders s leader plays a key role in driving best practices relative to analytic/automation opportunities in audits by focusing on risks and providing innovative insights/cost-effective data solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring the timeliness and quality results of their quarterly audit data deliverables, overseeing ad hoc reporting, guaranteeing proper documentation, developing talent within the team, as well as driving synergies for data and reports.

Job Description Core Responsibilities Lead engagement discussions with Audit leadership and related partners, understanding systems / processes / data / policies / controls, and design strategic recommendations on potential data analytics to support and streamline the audits.

Manage the extraction, manipulation, testing, visualization, and analysis of data that support the audit lifecycle, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Collaborate with upstream source systems to understand potential changes that will require subsequent changes to logic to our data deliverables. Influence partners to optimize data sourcing and processing rules to ensure appropriate data quality as well as process optimization.

Drive increased automation and resiliency, expanding the logic within the data deliverables to provide more value to the audit teams and their testing, as well as integrating automated quality checks and alerts. Complete data discovery on new data sources, understanding interrelationship of data across systems, and design data solutions that may be unique to a given business within NBCU that supports the desired data threading testing scope as defined by the audit team.

Develop and mentor team members of Data organization in improving their technical capabilities, communication, project management, critical/strategic thinking, and collaboration skills.  Foster an environment of empowerment, openness, accountability, and objectivity.  Manage thoughtful flexibility across the team in prioritizing tasks, allocating work, and proactively resolving issues.

Provide hands-on guidance to team members on the use of data analysis tools and platforms (e.g. Python, SQL, dbt Core, Snowflake, AWS, Tableau), as well as ability to perform queries as a back-up to the team or to respond to direct requests from Internal Audit leadership. Promote responsible use of and identify opportunities to innovate with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in developing code and developing solutions.
