Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Service Now CMDB Architect with a deep specialization in Service Now Discovery and robust CMDB governance. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the strategic vision and implementation of our Service Now Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established governance frameworks. You will be instrumental in leveraging Service Now Discovery to populate and maintain the CMDB, and in establishing the policies and procedures that guarantee data integrity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Architect and maintain the Service Now CMDB, aligning it with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and enterprise IT strategy.

Lead the design and implementation of Service Now Discovery and Service Mapping solutions to automate CMDB population and dependency mapping.

Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive CMDB governance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data quality, ownership, and lifecycle management.

Define and establish CI classes, attributes, and relationships, ensuring logical and accurate representation of IT services and infrastructure.

Collaborate with IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and other relevant teams to integrate CMDB data and support various IT processes.

Drive continuous improvement of CMDB health, data accuracy, and completeness through audits, reporting, and proactive remediation.

Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on CMDB and Discovery capabilities, fostering a culture of data integrity and responsible configuration management.

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Service Now, including Discovery and CMDB.Strong background in integrating Service Now with external systems (e.g., via APIs, MID Servers).Solid understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and IT governance frameworks.

Proficiency in Service Now platform administration, configuration, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide Script).Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for diverse stakeholders.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
