Non-Profit & Social Impact Associate, Youth Development

The Associate assists FCA staff with necessary duties assigned by the supervisor in order to aid in the successful camp ministry or campus ministry programs and/or administrative support. An Associate is a temporary, part time hourly position, ineligible for FCA benefits and 401K contributions. Associates can be FCA staff for up to 1 year.

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

• Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
• Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
• Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
• Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.

Philadelphia FCA Summer Associate Position is a part time (29 hrs/wk) position for 11 weeks beginning the last week of May through the end of July. Preferably college athletes (but not exclusively) who love Jesus. Summer Associates must be strong in their identity and relationship with Christ and represent our Core values:
Integrity, Serving, Teamwork, Excellence. Self-starter, self-motivated, professional, organized, and demonstrates leadership ability.

Our Summer Associate Position will include the following:

Spiritual Leadership/Discipleship Development: The most important investment that will be made in you during this program is to help you grow in your walk with the Lord. We aim to equip and empower to do Spiritual good to one another and others. We aim to answer these questions for you during the duration of the program:

  You will gain experience in aspects of full-time ministry; marketing, fundraising, staff development, volunteer recruitment and management, camp, and huddles. Specifically, you will gain experience ministry to coaches and athletes in Philadelphia which is an amazing city full of beauty, culture, great food and an insane sports culture but also where 25% live below the poverty line, has the largest opioid crisis in the US and only 7% actively engaged in the local church.
