Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with Level I Trauma experience and night shift on-call requirements.

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (5x8 hours)
• Responsibilities include both scrub and circulate duties, with experience preferred
• Patients include those requiring Level I Trauma, liver, and kidney procedures
• Traveler may be required to float to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center
• On-call requirements include up to 6 weekdays and 2 weekends within a six-week period
• Holiday requirement includes working 1 holiday and being on call for 1 holiday
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Must be available for both work and call rotations on holidays and weekends
• Scrub and circulate experience is preferred for this role
• Candidates may be assigned to float between OR, GI unit, and designated surgery centers
• Local travelers are accepted within a 50-mile radius but at a local rate

• Active PA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Trauma certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of Level I Trauma experience
• At least 2 years of recent experience in the operating room specialty required
• Experience with liver and kidney surgery cases required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• First time travelers are not accepted
