Role
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and research sites, focusing on industrial hygiene and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- manage and implement comprehensive industrial hygiene programs
- conduct hazard assessments and ergonomic evaluations
- perform monitoring and incident investigations
- review processes and procedures for compliance
- develop EHS policies and training
- and monitor safety performance indicators
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, chemistry, biology, or related field
- 5-8 years’ industry experience in pharma, biotech, or related sectors
- proficiency in EHS regulations, sampling methods, and risk management
- strong communication and organizational skills
- Master’s in Industrial Hygiene, CIH certification, and proactive mindset
- experience with laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments
- expertise in chemical, biological, noise, and ergonomic hazards
- involvement in regulated pharma settings with a focus on compliance and process safety
- Partner with operations and research teams, support site-wide EHS initiatives, and assist in solving company-wide industrial hygiene challenges
hybrid with 10% travel, supporting West Point and North Wales sites.
