Senior Bioinformatics Scientist focusing on developing machine learning models for cancer detection via tissue-free methylation assays, particularly in minimal residual disease (MRD) settings.
Responsibilities:
- design, train, and evaluate ML models
- lead end-to-end analysis pipelines
- bridge wet-lab and computational workflows
- communicate findings to technical and cross-functional teams
- contribute to code quality standards
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Biochemistry
- 0-3 years (Ph.D.) or 4-6 years (Master’s) experience
- expertise in DNA sequencing data analysis, algorithm development, statistical methods, and ML models (GLMs, neural networks)
- proficiency in Python, Linux, and relevant bioinformatics tools
- familiarity with public databases like TCGA, COSMIC, OncoKB
cancer genomics, methylation assays, MRD detection, algorithm development, high-throughput sequencing, collaborative environment.
Work Setup:Remote USA; salary range $117,400–$146,800.
