About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Neuroscientist to join their leading Neuropharmacology research team in East London . This role is central to advancing the understanding of neurological disorders and developing novel therapeutic interventions. You will lead research projects, design and execute complex studies investigating neuronal function and drug mechanisms, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate the molecular, cellular, and systems basis of neurological diseases.
  • Develop and apply assays to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of action of novel neuropharmacological agents.
  • Utilize a range of techniques including electrophysiology, calcium imaging, immunohistochemistry, and behavioral analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret complex neuroscience data, ensuring rigorous scientific validation.
  • Collaborate with other research groups, including chemists and clinicians, to advance therapeutic programs.
  • Prepare research reports, contribute to publications, and present findings at scientific conferences.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Neuroscience , Pharmacology, or a related field with a strong focus on neuropharmacology.
  • Minimum of 6 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in neuroscience.
  • Extensive knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, neuroinflammation, or psychiatric disorders.
  • Proficiency in a variety of neuroscience research techniques, including in vitro and in vivo models.
  • Demonstrated experience in drug discovery or development related to neurological conditions is highly desirable.
