The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs an End User Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
You will be responsible for growing sales in an assigned territory for the OEM/Specialty division of the Electrical Markets Division by working closely with key distributors, end users, and internal 3M personnel to promote the 3M product line.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Establishing and achieving objectives:
Effectively managing your assigned territory; understanding sales goals and establishing self-directed sales coverage with assistance from your manager; developing tactics and coordinating efforts to meet quarterly and annual objectives; and recommending adjustments and assessments to improve business outcomes. - Driving sales and marketing activities:
Utilizing the sales process to achieve sales results; applying 3M's brand, innovation, and value propositions to maximize revenue for the assigned product portfolio; using social selling tools to connect with end users and channel personnel; demonstrating and training customers on products and applications; representing the business unit's products and services to customers and prospects; and proactively reporting new or unusual market conditions, competitive activities, and product performance information to your supervisor. - Coordinating and planning territory activities:
Planning and managing time and resources to effectively support territory coverage, communications, and other responsibilities. - Continuously developing skills:
Continuously learning and improving skills related to the market, products, applications, selling techniques, and other relevant areas.
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Three (3) years of field/channel sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment, including experience in the Electrical/OEM industry.
- Current, valid Driver's License
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Strong computer skills, Database management:
PowerPoint, Excel, Word, - Proficiency in Spanish
Work location:
May work remote within the United States
Sales Territory: TX, LA, OK, AR
Travel:
May include up to 40% domestic

The expected compensation range for this position is $113,752 - $139,031, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
