You will monitor and patrol campus areas, including conducting bicycle patrols, to help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. ** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.

+ Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.

+ Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and interactions with campus personnel and visitors.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Be able to ride a bike.

+ Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

+ Preferred ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.

+ Be at least 21 years of age

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
