Senior Data Platform Engineer CDC

• Design and build a next-generation Data Platform used by engineering teams across the organization.
• Develop data publishing and consumption services based on PostgreSQL, Debezium CDC, Kafka, and Data Hub.
• Create Git Ops-driven workflows for data contracts, schema governance, ownership, and lifecycle management.
• Build internal tools and automation that improve developer experience and enable self-service data products.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI/ML teams to define and implement data standards.
• Drive platform reliability, observability, lineage, and governance practices.

• Strong software engineering experience in backend, platform, infrastructure, or data-intensive environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and scalability challenges.
• Hands-on experience with:
  PostgreSQL or other relational databases, Kafka, CDC, Debezium, or similar streaming technologies, Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Experience building platforms, internal tooling, automation, CI/CD pipelines, or developer-facing services.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, make architectural decisions, and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Strong English communication skills.

• Data Hub or other data catalog / governance platforms
• Apache Iceberg, data lakes, Big Query, Click House, or similar analytical platforms
• Data contracts, schema registries, Protobuf, Avro, JSON Schema
• Infrastructure as Code, Git Hub Actions, operators, controllers
• Experience supporting Analytics, AI/ML, or feature-store ecosystems
• Knowledge of Python, Go, Type Script, JVM languages, or Ruby
