Full Stack Developer, Backend Developer, Software Engineer
I’m working with a fast-growing, VC-backed developer tools start-up that helps teams build product integrations with AI. They give AI agents and applications access to the APIs their users rely on. They already have hundreds of paying customers, including some well-known enterprise and scale-up names. The team is small and made up of engineers from leading tech and developer tools companies.
They’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with customers and help them build on the platform. This is a hands‑on, full‑stack engineering role with a lot of customer contact. You’ll split your time between coding and working directly with customers on calls, in Slack and in pairing sessions. What you learn from them will feed straight into the product.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting customers from early technical evaluations through to production and beyond
- Leading customer calls, pairing sessions and technical deep dives
- Building integrations and solving tricky implementation and platform issues
- Shipping full‑stack product improvements, from design through to deployment
- Keeping customers updated on progress, timelines and next steps
- Helping shape the roadmap with what you hear from customers
Must have proven, commercial experience with:
- 5+ years of full‑stack engineering
- Customer‑facing technical work
- Debugging APIs, integrations and production systems
- Turning customer needs into solid, long‑term product solutions
What they’re looking for
- Excellent communication in English, both on calls and in writing
- Someone who enjoys working with customers and can explain technical trade‑offs clearly
- The ability to juggle several customers at once and follow through reliably
Fully remote, anywhere in the US
Small team where you’ll have real influence on the product
