The Opportunity:

Flexport’s omnichannel fulfillment business is one of the company’s most important and fastest‑growing strategic pillars. With more than 3 million square feet of warehouse space across five fulfillment centers — and rapid expansion ahead — we’re building a best‑in‑class network to help brands scale and meet customer expectations in the U.S.

As senior finance manager for omnichannel fulfillment, you’ll be the finance leader helping to define, measure and accelerate this growth. You won’t just manage budgets — you’ll help shape the future of how customers’ products flow through our network, maximize return on investment for new fulfillment assets and technology, and identify bold opportunities for efficiency and automation. You’ll partner directly with operations, technology, product and sales leaders to push beyond incremental improvements and help us build the most efficient and scalable fulfillment network in the industry.

This is a unique role for a strategic finance leader with strong analytical horsepower who thrives in complex, operationally intensive businesses. You’ll lead a small finance team, work regularly on‑site at our fulfillment centers to understand the business firsthand, and operate with autonomy to challenge the status quo. The role also offers significant opportunities for career growth, both within the fulfillment business and across Flexport more broadly.

You will:
  • Lead financial strategy and execution for Flexport’s U.S. fulfillment business, directly supporting a 3 million-plus square‑foot warehouse network across five facilities.
  • Partner across operations, technology and sales to achieve higher financial and operational performance targets, driving visibility, accountability and results.
  • Identify and implement automation and AI‑enabled financial tools to improve forecasting, reporting and decision‑making at scale.
  • Own complex modeling for network expansion, real estate, ROI/ROIC and last‑mile strategy — helping to shape Flexport’s long‑term fulfillment footprint.
  • Drive efficiency by challenging existing processes and evaluating automation and network optimization opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior executives on strategic investment decisions.
  • Lead and grow a high‑performing finance team, setting the vision and creating pathways for career development.
  • Travel regularly to fulfillment centers and offices to stay embedded in the business, ensuring financial strategy is tightly connected to operational execution.
You should have:
  • 8+ or more years of experience in finance, strategy, consulting or operations, with exposure to complex, fast‑scaling environments. Prior experience in fulfillment, warehousing, logistics or other operationally intensive industries is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and financial modeling ability; you love digging into data and building insights and cases that drive decisions.
  • A track record of going beyond FP&A — shaping and influencing both financial outcomes and operational strategy.
  • Demonstrated success working across functions and influencing without direct authority. You know how to push the business without losing alignment.
  • A builder’s mindset: comfort with ambiguity, curiosity…
