Wound Care RN (Per Diem | Days) – Warren Campus

Responsibilities- Participate in the Wound Management Center’s delivery of personalized, efficient care while respecting patients’ spiritual and cultural differences.
- Make decisions and judgments to prevent, analyze, and resolve patient care issues or other problems.
- Follow the established plan of care and collaborate with members of the Wound Management Center as needed.
- Direct the care team in the absence of the manager, when directed by the manager.
- Show knowledge of assessment tools and equipment such as hand‑held dopplers, cast removal saws, and negative wound‑pressure therapy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of wound treatments, interventions, and expected outcomes.
- Participate in new programs and treatment options as developed.
- Understand offloading and interventions related to wound healing.
- Explain how underlying comorbidities affect wound healing.
- Apply compression therapy and demonstrate its use in wound healing.
Must be able to sit for up to 2 hours per day; stand up to 8 hours per day; and walk 6 hours per day. Must lift, carry, and push objects up to 75 lbs. and assist with transportation of patients weighing up to 400 lbs. Must pull up to 10 lbs. and frequently pull up to 250 lbs. with assistance.
Must stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach above shoulder level. Must perceive objects through touch and grasp, twist, and turn them with hands and fingers. Must hear normal sounds at high and low frequencies and see color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and visual monotony (e.g., computer screen).
Current RN licensure required (state dependent). BSN preferred. CPR/BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. Wound Care Specialist certification or intent to obtain within three years preferred.
Training and ExperienceMinimum two years nursing experience with direct, hands‑on patient care required. Experience in wound care, home health, rehabilitation, burn treatment, or critical care preferred.
Compensation$40.60 - $55.68 per hour
