AVSE-TESOL in Cambodia has been contracted by 4 local partner schools to recruit 17 qualified ESL teachers (native or near-native English speakers) for ongoing teaching jobs in and around Phnom Penh. We welcome applications from both first-time ESL teachers and those with prior teaching experience.
Role highlights:
- Deliver fun, interactive ESL lessons
- Teach students of all ages and levels
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom
- Create and mark assessments with feedback
- Work closely with local and international staff
- Support students and engage with families
- Join school events and training sessions
Position Requirements
Core requirements include:
- Government-regulated TESOL/TEFL/CELTA is preferred, but training is available
- Clear background (police) check
- Computer literate
- Decent English language skills (C1 level or higher if a non-native English speaker)
- Culturally sympathetic, adaptable, easy to get along with
Note: holding a university or college degree is not a core requirement to work legally as an ESL teacher in Cambodia.
