Bilingual Accountant

Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 DOE
Position OverviewThis role supports global operations for a fast‑growing engineering and construction company with offices in both Phoenix and Taiwan. The individual will manage accounting functions for the Taiwan branch while assisting the Phoenix office with day‑to‑day financial operations. The ideal candidate is fluent in Mandarin and English, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working across international reporting structures.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage accounting entries and financial reporting for the Taiwan office.
- Assist with the Phoenix office’s daily financial operations under the direction of the Business Manager.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month‑end close.
- Generate monthly financial reports and track project-level costs for Project Managers.
- Prepare and file quarterly Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) returns.
- Maintain fixed asset records and support year-end reporting for external CPA.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial data gathering.
- Support special projects and produce ad hoc management reports as requested.
- Help develop and maintain accounting standards, processes, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).
- Fluent in English; ability to read and/or speak Mandarin (Traditional Chinese) preferred.
- Experience working with or knowledge of Taiwan labor and tax regulations is a plus.
- Experience with Deltek VantagePoint is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
