Headfarmer is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to join one of our most dynamic private equity backed clients. In this capacity, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager and serve as the authority on all matters related to fixed assets and software development costs. Your ability to work seamlessly across the organization with various departments such as Finance, Legal, Supply Chain and Operations will set you up for success.

What you will do:

• Serve as the SME on fixed assets and software development costs
• Document and analyze accounting for SOWs and SaaS contracts
• Record fixed asset activities in the ERP system
• Support the accounting team in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as well as audits
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for fixed assets and other expenses
• Identify and address significant expense variances with management
• Help file property taxes and analyze use tax liabilities for fixed assets and other purchases
• Assist in creating and implementing internal controls and processes

What you will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of applicable fixed asset accounting or software development cost experience
• Strong experience with accounting principles
• Proficient in Excel, Net Suite is a plus
