Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will handle a high volume of invoices while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, proficiency in AP systems, and the ability to contribute effectively to month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities:

- Process a large volume of invoices each month, including reviewing, coding, entering, and issuing payments.

- Reconcile vendor statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Ensure accounts payable balances align with the General Ledger through regular reconciliation.

- Support month-end closing activities by preparing aging reports and accruals.

- Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues professionally.

- Handle 1099 forms and other relevant tax documentation.

- Manage accounts payable operations across multiple entities or states, if applicable. Requirements

- Experience with  is required

- Extensive experience in accounts payable, including handling high-volume invoice processing.

- Familiarity with Sage Intacct is preferred.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles with excellent attention to detail.

- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Experience with coding invoices, check runs, and invoice processing.

- Ability to work effectively in a multi-entity or multi-state environment.
