Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and growing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, processing invoices and payments, assisting with audit preparations, and handling other accounting duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day accounting and loan servicing.
  • Support monthly closing procedures, GAAP financial statements, and regulatory filings, including preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Assist with client invoicing and vendor payments.
  • Respond to audit and tax teams’ requests during quarterly reviews, annual audits, and tax returns.
  • Help improve accounting processes and stay updated on new technology and systems that could enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, implement, and maintain accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings, share best practices, and contribute to problem-solving and mentoring.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 1+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, general ledger).
  • Current CPA certification or actively pursuing it.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with federal and state tax laws/regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 360 (Business Central).
  • Big 4 audit experience.
