Position OverviewCourtesy Chevrolet's Recon Center is seeking a Used Car Mechanic/Lube Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing efficient and high‑quality vehicle maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have previous experience at an automotive dealership, a strong understanding of the service drive, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following below, as well as other responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform work specified on Repair Orders
- Test drive vehicles, components and systems
- Diagnose, maintain, and perform repairs
- Inspect and communicate oil levels to teammates
- Verify and adjust tire pressure for proper inflation
- Conduct refills of fluid levels as necessary
- Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
- Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter during oil change procedures
- Clean and lubricate fittings as needed to ensure optimal performance
- Provide excellent customer service, prioritizing our customer’s perspective
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership
- Strong understanding of the service drive
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand‑eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, and a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing to submit to pre‑employment drug screen and background check
