The Warranty Administrator is responsible for preparing, submitting, and recording warranty claims to ensure high customer satisfaction by adhering to OEM practices and company policies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare, code, and submit all OEM and vendor warranty claims promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all OEM and vendor policies and warranty procedures.
- Utilize technical knowledge to verify proper documentation of repairs for warranty coverage verification.
- Book and close repair orders upon completion.
- Request goodwill assistance for customer satisfaction.
- Reconcile warranty receivables with payments weekly.
- Follow up on outstanding claims within 30 days.
- Review and resubmit rejected or underpaid claims.
- Ensure warranty parts are tagged and confirm shipping.
- Track warranty parts with relevant details.
- Stay updated on warranty policies and product changes.
- Provide warranty updates to service staff and technicians.
- Ensure all warrantable repairs are documented accurately.
- Completed manufacturers training courses to obtain certification.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a safe, clean work environment.
- Attend warranty staff meetings.
- Explain warranty coverages to customers.
Salary range for Warranty Administrator (depending on role and experience level) can range from $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 annually.
ACTIVITY AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSEmployee safety is a prime concern of RWC. This position is a safety sensitive position and falls under the requirements of the RWC Drug and Alcohol policy.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Medium/Heavy-Duty truck or automotive industry.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and repairs.
- Ability to understand and communicate vendor warranty guidelines and approval processes.
- High degree of product technical knowledge.
- Team player with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional conduct.
- Superior problem-solving skills for achieving win-win solutions.
