About This OpportunityOkland is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Safety Manager to champion a safety culture throughout the organization. This position will oversee the safety efforts for commercial construction projects in the Phoenix area.

Your Day-to-Day- Monitor job site activities and perform regular safety inspections, documenting findings through reports and photos.
- Lead and maintain a proactive, positive safety culture in collaboration with the project management team.
- Conduct job site orientations to ensure all new employees understand safety protocols and expectations.
- Facilitate site-specific safety trainings and monthly supervisor/foreman safety meetings.
- Respond to and investigate safety concerns, incidents, and accidents, conduct root cause analyses.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company safety standards on active job sites.
- Provide specialty training as required (e.g., respirator fit testing, high‑risk task protocols).
- Review and support development of job hazard analyses and pre-task planning documentation.
- Partner with site leadership to identify safety risks and implement corrective actions.
- Document infractions, improvements, and progress using company‑approved tools and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5–7 years of construction safety experience
- Proven success with OSHA ratings, EMR, and loss‑time record management
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with concrete placement safety preferred
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 + STSC certification required
- Additional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST) strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and colleagues at all levels.
- Confident in delivering presentations in both one‑on‑one and group settings.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Capable of leading the implementation of safety programs and procedures developed by Okland Corporate EH&S, safety committees, and safety managers.
