As a Railroad Superintendent, you’re the boots-on-the-ground leader overseeing multiple crews and job sites. You’ll manage construction and maintenance projects from planning to completion — delivering work that’s on time, on budget, and above spec. You’ll be the point person for coordination with clients, internal teams, and railroad contacts. Your territory will be multiple states sometimes spanning multiple regions.

  • Oversee field operations, including manpower, equipment, and materials
  • Ensure jobsite safety, efficiency, and quality — every day
  • Communicate project goals and expectations to supervisors and crews
  • Track progress, solve problems, and keep things moving
  • Represent Track Tech with professionalism to clients, inspectors, and rail partners
  • Support scheduling, budgeting, and reporting with the leadership team
Job Requirements

5+ years of experience in rail construction or maintenance (Class I or contractor)

Strong leadership skills and field management experience

Solid understanding of FRA rules, railroad safety, and construction best practices

Ability to travel regionally and work on-site
