We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Phoenix metro area. This role is responsible for supervising on-site plumbing activities, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong technical knowledge, proven field management experience, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining a safe, organized jobsite.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily plumbing construction activities on commercial projects from start to finish
- Supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and workmanship standards are met
- Plan manpower, material needs, and equipment requirements in alignment with project schedules
- Coordinate closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve conflicts
- Enforce jobsite safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate installation and code compliance
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Track labor productivity and assist with schedule updates and recovery plans
- Ensure inspections are passed and work meets local and national plumbing codes
- Maintain daily reports, time tracking, and field documentation
- Support hiring, training, and development of field personnel
- Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
- 5+ years of experience supervising commercial plumbing construction projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and installation methods
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple scopes simultaneously
- Experience working on large‑scale projects such as healthcare, education, industrial, or multi‑story commercial buildings preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
