As an Estimating Student for our Phoenix Buildings office, you will:

• Review and perform quantity survey assignments with the lead estimator
• Perform general sub-trade solicitation duties
• Bid document control
• Perform bid day assignments
• Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
• Visit job sites periodically
• Use in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
• Develop relationships with subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
:

• Desire a career in construction Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating
• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Any experience using On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors, and owners
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs
• 18 years of age or older
• Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party
