We are hiring a Tucson Laboratory Technician with 3-5 years of experience in materials testing and quality control for transportation construction projects. The role involves working under a lab supervisor and may include engineering construction inspections, sampling, testing of materials like concrete, asphalt, and steel, as well as maintaining equipment, facilities, and records related to materials testing.
Responsibilities- Testing and Inspection: Conduct tests on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and steel according to ASTM, AASHTO, and ADOT methods.
- Material Sampling: Collect samples of materials from various locations for testing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning and calibration of testing equipment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of testing results and relevant data.
- Quality Control: Assist with procedures to ensure materials meet project specifications.
- Communication: Communicate testing results and issues to supervisors and team members.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
