Asphalt Rakers

Via Sun Corporation is currently seeking hardworking and reliable Asphalt Rakers to join our team. As an Asphalt Raker, you will play a crucial role in the construction and paving of roads and parking lots, ensuring smooth and even surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Raking and spreading hot asphalt material to achieve specified thickness and smoothness
• Assisting with the preparation of surfaces, including cleaning, priming, and filling any cracks or potholes
• Operating hand tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, and tampers
• Monitoring and adjusting the flow and temperature of the asphalt material
• Collaborating with the paving crew to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

Requirements

• Previous experience in the paving or construction industry is preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipment is preferred
• Valid driver’s license
