Construction Manager/ Foreman
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Field Management
Oversee daily field operations for commercial metal roofing and metal wall panel projects. Lead, supervise, and support metal crews, installers, and subcontractors. Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure quality, safety, and productivity. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to meet project timelines.
Technical ExpertiseInterpret and review specifications, shop drawings, plans, and submittals for all metal‑related scope. Ensure proper installation of metal roofing systems, including:
- Standing seam metal roofing
- R‑panel, corrugated, and concealed fastener systems
- Metal wall panel systems
- Flashing, coping, trims, and custom fabricated metal components
Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide field solutions.
Scheduling & CoordinationWork closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Fabrication teams to sequence work and maintain project schedules. Communicate daily progress and jobsite updates to management. Assist in short‑term and long‑term project planning and manpower forecasting.
Safety & ComplianceEnforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance on all jobsites. Ensure crews are trained, equipped, and operating in a safe and professional manner. Conduct toolbox talks, jobsite audits, and safety walk‑throughs.
Quality ControlMaintain Diversified Roofings quality standards during all phases of installation. Perform inspections to verify correct layout, fasteners, clips, underlayment, sealants, and panel alignment. Identify punch‑list items early to prevent delays.
Documentation & ReportingComplete daily logs, photographs, and field reports. Track labor hours, job progress, and productivity goals. Work with the project management team to resolve issues, change orders, and field modifications.
QualificationsRequired:
5+ years of experience in commercial metal roofing or metal wall panel installation. 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman/superintendent role. Strong understanding of commercial construction processes. Ability to read and understand construction documents, shop drawings, and metal system details. Proficiency in leading crews and managing multiple job sites. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Proven track record of delivering high‑quality projects safely and on time.
Experience with standing seam equipment, panel fabrication, and sheet metal shop coordination. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certified. Experience with cranes, lifts, and rigging. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Field‑based position with frequent travel to job sites. Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Requires lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and navigating active construction sites.
