Commercial and Mission Critical Construction – Phoenix, AZ
Elite Executive Solutions is partnering with a general contractor to identify an experienced Estimator for commercial and/or mission-critical projects exceeding $25 million in the Phoenix market. This is a high-priority search for a conceptual estimator with strong technology skills.
This opportunity is ideal for a preconstruction professional who can develop credible budgets from incomplete design information and refine them into clear, competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare conceptual, schematic, design-development and construction-document estimates.
- Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing across civil, structural, architectural and MEP scopes.
- Document assumptions, exclusions, allowances, contingencies and escalation considerations.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals; reconcile scope gaps and bid qualifications.
- Compare design options and recommend value engineering that preserves project objectives.
- Maintain cost history and use estimating, takeoff and spreadsheet tools effectively.
- Lead estimate reviews, develop junior estimators and hand off awarded scope and budgets to operations.
- 10+ years of commercial estimating or preconstruction experience.
- Independent leadership of complex pursuits; GC background preferred.
- Commercial and/or mission-critical project estimating experience exceeding $25M.
- Experience with conceptual budgets, negotiated GMP, CM/GC, design-build and hard bids.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and cost models; strong estimating and digital takeoff software proficiency.
- Ability to mentor estimators and present estimate reviews; relevant degree or equivalent field experience preferred.
