Position Overview
The Director of Operations will oversee multiple heavy civil construction projects, leading project management and field teams while driving safety, profitability, efficiency, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee project operations, schedules, budgets, and field execution across multiple projects.
• Lead and develop project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
• Monitor financial performance, cost controls, forecasting, and profitability.
• Manage resource allocation, staffing, equipment utilization, and project scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contract specifications.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on operational strategy and business growth.
Qualifications
• Extensive heavy civil construction experience, particularly in highways, bridges, paving, or utilities.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing multiple projects and construction teams.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, cost controls, and field operations.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and develop effective teams.
