Position: Creative Lead (Digital Design, Part-Time, 1099)

We are seeking a Creative Lead to guide and elevate all creative execution across our recurring client accounts. This role is both visionary and hands-on: responsible for owning the creative direction of each brand, designing high-quality work, and leading a team of designers to uphold the visual standards and storytelling excellence Vallure is known for.

The ideal candidate is highly conceptual, skilled in digital-first design, meticulous with detail, and deeply comfortable collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams. This person understands how to balance aesthetics with strategy, and creativity with conversion.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the creative lead for recurring accounts, owning visual interpretation and ensuring a deep understanding of each client’s brand, narrative, audience, and business goals.
  • Develop creative strategies and concepts across social media, email, paid advertising, website updates, and select print work.
  • Partner closely with the Digital Lead to ensure creative execution supports campaign performance goals, user journey insights, and broader account strategy.
  • Stay ahead of digital, design, cultural, and AI-driven trends to continually evolve the agency’s creative impact.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to elevate creative storytelling, brand cohesion, and design innovation across client accounts.
  • Manage and mentor designers who report to this role, ensuring clarity of expectations, alignment on client goals, and consistent delivery of high-quality work.
  • Conduct one-on-one development sessions with direct reports to guide growth, strengthen decision-making, and refine craftsmanship.
  • Support leadership with staffing insights, performance trends, and development plans for the creative team.
  • Establish and uphold creative team standards around quality, productivity, presentation, and client service.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan timelines, scopes, budgets, and resource allocation for creative deliverables.
  • Ensure all creative deadlines are met according to PM timelines and communicate proactively about progress, bandwidth needs, or risks.
  • Develop creative briefs or outline information for campaigns and key deliverables, ensuring clarity on strategy, narrative direction, and expectations.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager on content strategy, platform trends, and creative formats.
  • Partner with the Campaign Manager and Digital Lead to concept and refine new ad creative.
  • Continually assess workflow efficiencies and propose improvements to processes, templates, tools, and internal creative systems.
  • Produce high-quality digital design across social media, email, landing pages, paid campaigns, web assets, and occasional print materials.
  • Oversee internal reviews of creative work, offering clear, strategic, and design-forward feedback before client presentation.
  • Serve as the final review and sign-off point for creative assets, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, aesthetic consistency, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Present creative concepts and final deliverables to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure all creative assets uploaded into project management tools and design platforms are complete, properly named, stored, polished, and ready for client review.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate creative capabilities across templates, tools, systems, workflows, and visual standards.
  • Introduce new creative and AI tools, design approaches, and storytelling methods that strengthen the agency’s impact and efficiency.
  • Stay informed about design, content, platform, and digital culture trends that shape how audiences engage and convert.
  • Advocate for new ideas and creative opportunities that support deeper brand expression and stronger performance.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years in digital design, creative direction, or a related role within an agency or fast-paced creative environment
  • Strong command of digital-first storytelling, typography, layout, motion concepts, and multi-channel creative
  • Hands-on expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and relevant digital design tools
  • Experience guiding designers, offering design critique, and elevating work through clear direction
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with strategic and performance-driven objectives
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (PM, Digital Lead, campaign managers, social managers)
  • Polished communication skills with the ability to present creative concepts and rationale clearly and confidently
