Grand Canyon Education (GCE), a rapidly growing educational services company, partners with Grand Canyon University to support post‑secondary education through technology, operations, and operational support.

Position Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Inbound Call Center Specialist located in Phoenix, AZ to manage toll‑free calls and live chat interactions with students, prospective students, and other stakeholders. The role requires a 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. While remote, occasional in‑person meetings may be required.

What you will do
  • Answer, screen, and route calls from students, prospective students, and staff.
  • Enter inquiries into the inquiry management database with high accuracy.
  • Conduct live‑chat conversations, providing professional and accurate responses.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
  • Multi‑task across multiple systems and applications efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively to collect, relay, and track information.
  • Adhere to schedules, start times, breaks, and lunch to maintain service levels.
  • Demonstrate empathy, active listening, and clear concise dialogue.
  • Uphold contact‑center quality standards and meet or exceed metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of customer‑service experience in a call‑center environment.
  • Typing speed of 20 wpm while interacting with callers and system tools.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong multitasking and navigation of multiple systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for accurate information collection and relay.
  • Positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
  • Dependable, punctual, and customer‑service oriented.
  • Ability to embody Grand Canyon University’s ethical statements and mission.
